A second way in
The only route into the product had no fallback: one delivery path having a bad day meant nobody could sign in. There is a second rail now: when our main provider is throttled or down, a backup route sends the sign-in email, so a bad day upstream is rarely a lockout. Microsoft addresses (Outlook, Hotmail, Live) use the main route only.
